There’s nothing like the smell of a freshly baked apple pie! This is a healthier version not to mention they are fun and so easy to make in the Instant Pot. There are no special ingredients needed unless you would like to add THM Collagen to boost the protein. Apple Pie Ala Mode, yes indeed these smell and taste just like Apple Pie Ala-mode.
It’s no surprise that I love cooking with my Instant Pot. This appliance has made my journey so much easier. We have great, nourishing, and fast food with one appliance! It also allows me to cook ahead and freeze more conveniently.
I love sharing with other Trim Healthy Mamas what my favorite accessories are so I thought I would create a blog post to share them with you.
I remember those poke cakes that my grandmother used to make with a cake mix and brightly colored jello. They certainly were fun and colorful but not very healthy. This lemon sticky poke cake is low carb, gluten free, fun and easy to make. It can be cooked in the Instant Pot or traditionally baked the oven. It has a very unique texture and an incredible lemon flavor.
I love making a crust-less quiche in the Instant Pot. I often use my Vitamix to blend the eggs and wet chop my veggies to save time. This makes for a quick and satisfying breakfast that you can cook while packing lunches for your family. Once it goes into the pot you don’t have to worry about it over cooking or burning. This recipe will serve 4.
I love having a salad with my THM E meals but finding a salad dressing that fits this meal was nearly impossible. This dressing is so easy to make, it only takes a few minutes once your berries are thawed. It keeps in the refrigerator for at least a week, but it never lasts that long in our house!
I’ve always had a love of baking but cheesecakes were one of my specialties. Working as part of the wait staff at a local restaurant, Millard’s at the Summit, our chef and leader Rick Denny was always open for specials and menu ideas from his staff. Rick allowed me to create and bake specialty cheesecakes for the restaurant. This work experience is how my love of creating unique desserts emerged.
We love soups and barley is one of my favorites grains. I was very excited to read that hulled barley is a great grain to use in the THM plan. This soup is easy to make either on the stove top or in your Instant Pot. This recipe makes 6 generous servings.
There are so many items that can be purchased as a gift for your loved ones who are on this journey. They range from small appliances to cookbooks to kitchen gadgets to pantry items. These are some of my very favorites appliances and accessories which help me prepare and cook meals for our family.
A creamy soup made with a large head of fresh cauliflower. So what’s the secret to the best-tasting and creamiest cauliflower soup you’ve ever eaten? Under-cook some of the cauliflower—and overcook the rest. And it’s so easy to make and do in the Instant Pot!
I love making a turkey breast in the Instant Pot. It’s quick and comes out moist and juicy every time! We love turkey breast for sandwiches, either sliced or as a turkey salad. It’s much healthier than buying deli meats and it’s a blessing to help us with those E meals. Will often have sliced turkey breast with apple slices and a side salad of greens and chopped cucumbers.
