My Favorite Instant Pot Accessories
It’s no surprise that I love cooking with my Instant Pot. This appliance has made my journey so much easier. We have great, nourishing, and fast food with one appliance! It also allows me to cook ahead and freeze more conveniently.
I love sharing with other Trim Healthy Mamas what my favorite accessories are so I thought I would create a blog post to share them with you.

Top 5 Favorite Instant Pot Accessories
My five (5) go to accessories are a steamer basket, the new long handled Instant Pot trivet, Fat Daddio cheesecake pans, the new Instant Pot silicone springform pan, spare liner and glass lid. I use the steamer basket for veggies and steamed hard or soft boiled eggs.
The new long handled trivet by Instant Pot is great – no need for those aluminum foil slings anymore for “pot in pot” cooking. My grocery budget is loving it too!
Having a spare stainless steel liner and the Instant Pot tempered glass lid allows me to cook meals ahead and store in the frig, not to mention having the glass lid is great for slow cooking.
Cheesecake what can I say; we love cheesecake! You have to love an eating plan that allows this dessert. I use two styles and two sizes of cheesecake pans. I use both the Fat Daddio 7 x 3 inch cheesecake pan and the Fat Daddio 6 x 3 inch cheesecake pan. These pans have a removable bottom. The newest edition to the pan collection is the silicone pan springform pan by Instant Pot. This pan has a tempered glass bottom which give the silicone rim much more stability.
Some other Great Accessories
I love the red silicone mitts for removing the liner from the Instant Pot. Makes swapping out liners quick and painless if you are using a second liner to prepare a veggie or side to go with a meal.
A digital quick read thermometer is great for all types of cooking. I find it’s a must have for making yogurt and super handy to check the temps of cooked meats especially chicken.
The yogurt strainer that I love is great for straining a batch of yogurt made from 2 quarts of skim milk which works perfect for our small family. Some gals have purchased two because they love the convenience of this accessory. Others find using a quality linen towel works well for them.
The silicone sealing rings in your Instant Pot can hold odors. I use a ring for savory and a ring for desserts and rice. I also like to keep a spare on hand since the life of a sealing rings is about 12-18 months.
One of the last two items is a small round 6 inch baking rack which sits lower in the liner. This is great for a taller “pot in pot” vessel or if you are stacking taller ramekins for individual meals, snacks or desserts. Lastly are silicone cooking pot lids/covers for covering your “pot in pot” creations.
Instant Pot Models
There are basically three models – the LUX, the DUO, or the Smart Pot. All three are great pots. The LUX is available in two sizes – LUX50 – 5 quart and the LUX60 – 6 quart models. This model style does not have the yogurt feature, low pressure setting or lid holders.
The DUO model style is available in three sizes – DUO50 – 5 quart, DUO60 – 6 quart, and the DUO80 – 8 quart. The Duo models have the yogurt feature, lid holding handles and a low pressure option.
Instant Pot IP-Smart Bluetooth-Enabled Multifunctional Pressure Cooker allows you to program and monitor cooking with a free app from Android/iPhone/iPad. This model also allows you to adjust temperatures. It’s available in a 6 quart size and at the present time the silicone mitts are included with it’s purchase.
