Trim Healthy Mama Vitamix Blender Challenge
This THM Vitamix Blender Challenge will be so much fun because I use my Vitamix 7500 daily! I’m so excited to bring you this challenge hoping it will help you along your THM journey.
Often I see gals struggle learning how to use their Vitamix high speed blender. I am hoping that this challenge will help you learn how to use your blender more effectively so it will become a valued tool in your kitchen and during your THM journey.
For the first week of this challenge we’ll be keeping it sanely simple. We’ll be starting out with simple recipes, simple ingredients and easier blends. We’ll focus on shakes, trimmies, and non-dairy milks This will help you to grow into using your machine with more confidence.
During the second week we’ll focus on soups and snacks. Moving on to week three, we’ll go beyond blending with food preparation techniques and frozen treats. Finally, on week four we’ll put it all together planning a whole meal!
The THM Vitamix Blender Challenge 2020 will run for four weeks starting January 6 and will run until Jan 31st. However, this challenge can be used by anyone at anytime! If you are not familiar with Trim Healthy Mama you can learn more about it here – The Trim Healthy Mama Plan.
Challenge Recipes and Tips for Week 1
This week’s focus will be trim healthy shakes or smoothies, warm and nourishing trimmies and a non-dairy milks. We’ll be keeping the ingredients and techniques simple so you achieve outstanding results.
THM Shakes and Smoothies
Here’s a great Vitamix Tip: Placing heavier, frozen items on top of lighter ingredients helps weigh them down and gets the blend moving faster. This can also help prevent your blend from stalling. Be sure to move to the highest variable speed quickly when blending your shakes and smoothies. And let’s not forget how your tamper can be your best friend for pushing those ingredients down into the blades. Please remember to never use your tamper without the lid.

THM Trimmies aka Trimmaccinos
THM Trimmies are a nourishing beverage. The MCT Oil helps to rev up your metabolism. They can be made hot or cold; or with coffee, oolong tea or herbal teas. There are some great Trimmy recipes in the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook on pages 427-436.
Some great THM ingredients you’ll want to use in your Trimmy are:

Almond Milk – THM FP
Almond milk is easy to make and it’s a main stay for many THM recipes. It will keep in the refrigerator for 5 to 7 days in a glass container.
Here’s the recipe for making almond milk in your blender: Vitamix Blender Almond Milk – THM FP
Cashew Milk – THM S
Cashew Milk is another “keeping it sanely simple” recipe. Since it’s a THM S it’s going to be creamier than almond milk and more calorie dense; so it’s best not to over do it. Here’s the recipe for making cashew milk in your blender: Vitamix Cashew Milk – THM S.
